Namibia Golf

You shouldn’t come to Namibia to play golf especially; the country has far more to offer than that, with its National Parks, endless desserts, and amazing possibilities for Safari’s. On top of that, there are only 5 golf courses in the countries.

However, if you do get to Namibia…

Be prepared to play, because the courses that are available really are very interesting.

For example, there is no grass on the course in Lüderitz, and due to the wind one can only play from March to October; now that’s a challenge. On the 9-hole course in Walvisbaai, there is only grass on the greens, for the rest, there is only the Namib dessert, and the ball is allowed to be placed on a tee.

We played the Rössmund Golf Course, near Swakopmund. A proper course with grass and fairways, and some interesting moving obstacles…
